There
is no question that our waters are polluted. It is not uncommon for
the local or national news to report a waste spill or a fish kill or
the outbreak of a new disease. In this part of the module, we will
only look at a few examples of water pollution and its effect on our
lives. You are welcome to begin with a topic that interests
you.
How do wastes change the oxygen content of water?
Can groundwater become polluted?
What is the impact of oil spills?
What are some sources of metal pollution?
Can biocides cause harm to aquatic environments?
