Population Ecology

Cheetah laying on rockPopulation ecologists often study a species that occupies a generally defined area. An example would be a population of bluegills living in a farm pond. Population ecologists are interested in many aspects that affect population dynamics, including behavior. Several of the following factors that affect populations are important in understanding cheetahs and may be useful in helping you decide if the cheetah should be saved.
